Al Bateen Executive Airport is planning further developments, including new hangar facilities, an executive catering base and further MRO development in 2012. This renewed focus on customer services and world-class facilities follows a very positive 2012, including a 50% increase in business aviation traffic.
Speaking with FlyCorporate, general manager, Steve Jones said: “We are confident that in 2012 we will see further growth in business aviation. When we looked at our inbound traffic for 2011 it was up 54% and we are growing our market share.”
The year-end performance report for Al Bateen Executive Airport highlighted that the airport registered 8,775 commercial aircraft movements in 2011, and had attracted an additional 124 new clients in 2011.
Note: Abu Dhabi Air Expo will be held at Al Bateen Executive Airport on March 6th, 7th and 8th. The Air Expo will play host to General Aviation exhibitors from all over the world.
